Using search
The Search boxes include fields to allow you to enter free text as well as a number of other fields to allow you to restrict the results to specific salary ranges, locations and job types.

Basic text search
Searching for jobs using the free text search field is easy. Simply type one or more search terms that best describe the job you are looking for, the most important terms first, and press 'Enter'. There is no need to enter ‘and’ between the terms. Choosing the right search terms is the key to locating the right job. The more terms you enter, the more specific your search results will be.
Any matching jobs will be listed with the most relevant at the top.

Stemming
The text fields in the search facility supports stemming. The search will therefore not only return results for your specifc search terms, but also for part words. For example, if you search for “sofware engineer”, the results will also display jobs that include “software engineering”.

Phrase searches
If you want the results to match an exact phrase, simply put quotation marks around your search terms, e.g. “software testing engineer”.

Boolean operators
You can use boolean operators to narrow down your search as shown below:

Punctuation and "noise" words
With the exception of the boolean keywords "&" and "|" all punctuation will be stripped from any terms you specify.

"Noise" words such as "it", "the" and "of" will be ignored if entered.
